Zenith Ultrasonics Cavitation Level and Dead Spot Meter

Available quantity:1

Description

Zenith's Cavitation Level and Dead Spot Meter, also known as CLD" meter, is an instrument used to visually observe ultrasonic energy present in any ultrasonic cleaning system. By submerging the tip of this instrument into the ultrasonic cleaning bath, important process information is provided such as ultrasonic frequency, dead tank areas, and ultrasonic shadowing. The CLD meter will also demonstrate the effectiveness of process control ultrasonics and common "sweep frequency" circuits, all of which is important in obtaining maximum cleaning efficiency with any ultrasonic cleaner.

The CLD meter is a glass tube filled with proprietary solid and liquid components. When submerged in an ultrasonic cleaner, the solid components in the tube align themselves according to the ultrasonic wave energy found in the ultrasonic cleaner Since all ultrasonic systems have power distributed in bands known as "standing waves", the solids align into bands that resemble a racoons tail. By observing these energy signals under varying conditions, process effectiveness can be determined.
