Description

The Leybold TW250 S turbomolecular drag pump has a pumping velocity of 230 liters per second and a final pressure of 1 x 10-8. A turbopump is a gas turbine that is made up of two independent components; a rotodynamic pump and a driving turbine. They can be mounted on the same shaft or customarily geared together. The design of a turbopump is to produce a high pressure fluid for feeding a combustion chamber or other use. Applications include:

This TW250 S pump is not functioning properly, but it includes a brand-new TD 400 frequency converter. The TURBO.DRIVE S converter with RS 232 interface supplies power to the TW series turbomolecular pumps and is used to control their operation.
