Bausch & Lomb 31-33-53 Transformer with Lamp

This Bausch & Lomb microscope illuminator is equipped with a transformer in the base with a step switch - 5.0V to 6.75V - for fixed light intensities. The Nicholas illuminator features a lamp that is mounted on an articulated arm. It has a condenser and front lens. The condenser lens is imaged approximately 15 cm ahead of the front lens to produce a bright spot of about 40mm in diameter.

The Nicholas illuminator provides a highly directional spotlight illumination and brings out shadows of surface contours. This illuminator is recommended for opaque-diffuse, transparent or translucent specimens.
