Barnstead Thermolyne FA1730 Muffle Furnace (0.7 Cu-Ft)

The Thermolyne FA-1730 with Furnatrol CP53640 controller is a heavy-duty, 240V, large-capacity muffle furnace designed for industrial and laboratory applications, such as heat treating and ashing. It features four-side heating elements for superior temperature uniformity and a refractory firebrick chamber. Heavy-gauge coiled heating elements are embedded in refractory plates, which are easily replaced and interchangeable. Combined layers of firebrick and back-up insulation form a 15.2cm (6") barrier. Counter-balanced bottom section of door can be lowered separately while top section remains fully closed to hold in heat. Safety switch removes power from heating elements when door is opened, for operator protection. intended for applications requiring temperatures from 302°F (150°C) to 1800°F (982°C) for continuous use, or temperatures from 1800°F (982°C) to 1999°F (1093°C) for intermittent use. Continuous use is operating the furnace for more than 3 hours and intermittent use is operating the furnace for less than 3 hours.

The Furnatrol CP53640 programmable controller is capable of 8 ramp / 8 dwell plus RS-232 communication and 4 stored programs.
